Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 28, 2026

Placeholder — replace before launch. Have your attorney tailor for CCPA (if any California guests, which is likely here) and GDPR (if any EU guests).

What we collect

  • Your name, email, phone, and (for billing) postal address.
  • Booking details: dates, party size, trip purpose, special requests, and any messages exchanged with the Owner.
  • Payment method information — handled exclusively by Stripe. We never see, store, or transmit your card number.
  • Basic usage data — IP address, browser type, pages visited — to keep the site running and prevent fraud.
  • If you opt in to our email list, your email and the source you opted in from.

How we use it

  • To fulfill your booking and communicate with you about your stay.
  • To send you transactional emails (request received, approved, declined, pre-arrival).
  • If you opted in, occasional marketing emails. You can unsubscribe any time — every email includes a one-click link.
  • To comply with legal obligations including local lodging-tax remittance, where guest data must be reported in aggregate.

Who we share it with

Service providers strictly necessary to operate the site: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database hosting), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (hosting). Each is bound by their own privacy policies and standard data-processing agreements. We do not sell your data.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing alexbench12@gmail.com. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to opt out of any sale (we do not sell) and the right to limit use of sensitive personal information.

Retention

We retain booking records for seven years for tax and accounting purposes. Marketing email subscribers can unsubscribe at any time, which permanently flags the record.
